Electricity museum
Experience virtual pruning through VR glasses!
In a sturdy granite stone building in Vista, right in the center of Paimio, there is a special museum in the field of electricity.
The museum, which tells the history and production, distribution and use of electricity of two major rural electrifiers, the Southwest Finland Electricity Company and Sähkölähteenmäki, was opened in 1995. The main exhibitions have been completely renovated in 2012-2013.
In the 2021 theme exhibition, children will get to know what it was like to live in the area of the Southwest Finland Electricity Company in the 1960s. In the museum, you can also get acquainted with electrical technology with the help of VR glasses.
