Take a trip to the Paimio countryside and discover the unique home of a local inventor and its interesting content!

August Pyölniittu (1887–1979) was a smallholder farmer and self-taught scientist and hard-working writer, who already during his lifetime was given the status of “Wise of Paimio”. The home of Pyölniittu and his sisters Ida and Olga in Maljamäki, Paimio, was museumed in the 1980s and is open during the summer. The museum is a window into the everyday life of the siblings and August Pyölniitun’s unique life’s work as a naturalist, inventor and essayist.
