Paimio local history museum and Museum hill
Take a tour of the beautiful Museomäki milieu of the Paimio local history museum and sense the local history!
Museum Hill (Museomäki) forms a whole, which includes the museum buildings of the local history museum, the Paimio Theater and the Ant Trail (Muurahaispolku). Along the trail you can explore the area on foot all year round. Along the trail there are environmental education boards for children and next to the museum buildings there are signposts describing the history and purpose of the museum buildings. The Ant trail can often be closed during the theater show during the summer.
In the Yli-Hakala croft, you can visit the modest croft at the end of the 19th century and get acquainted with the artefacts of a wealthier house on the chamber side.
Downstairs in the loan magazine is the space for changing exhibitions, and upstairs there is a traditional ethnographic artefact from the museum’s collections.
